This is genuinely good advice.
Moving on, for now: Met up with Jamie for a quick trip up to
Sky Gardens and some excellent views of London. Sky Garden is mostly what it sounds like - a glass-enclosed garden (and restaurant and bar) at the top of a skyscraper (think London skyscraper, not NYC skyscraper).

Looking south at The Shard, the tallest building in the UK (and now you can vaguely remember what that means!)

The inside of Sky Garden

Looking west, The Tower of London and Tower (not London) Bridge. And for those who know Rory (Jamie's brother), he works in the two triangle shaped buildings. Notice the new building directly in front of them that completely ruined their river view...womp womp.

A word about British humo(u)r: I used to associate British humo(u)r exclusively with Monty Python and thought it was just crap. Slowly but surely, though, my opinion is changing as I discover people like Stephen Merchant and Karl Pilkington and Alan Partridge and because I'll occasionally see things like this that I can really appreciate:

A little insight into our lives, buried here at the bottom: While I fall asleep by just thinking about reading the Economist, Jamie
actually reads it for a bit every night on his iPad. And every night, without fail, he falls asleep and the iPad starts to fall towards his face. I'll grab it and put it away, and he'll lay like this for a while, still grasping at air, until I nudge him and he shifts into his sleeping position.

This picture is not posed. He sleeps like this.
This picture will also determine he knows about this blog.
What are your Valentine's Day plans? We "don't like" Valentine's Day and we "aren't celebrating" it, but we do happen to be exchanging a few gifts (my real-life Casanova asked if I'd just prefer cash) and making our own pasta tomorrow night. Anyone else *not* have exciting plans?
