Face with steam from nose emoji
The internets assure me this emoji indicates being "in a huff".
I'm still here for the indefinite future, which makes me a little less apt to stick around home, waiting for the quickly-becoming-a-unicorn call to return, and more likely to say to hell with it all and head off to Chicago and wherever else I may want to go (that doesn't require a passport, of which her majesty's government is currently in possession).

Jamie called about the visa again yesterday and was told that there is a 15-working day required turn around for escalated cases, meaning they have to follow up with either a decision or a reason there hasn't been a decision within three weeks. So, while we should hear something by next Monday, we both fully expect that date to come and go with crickets chirping. We can call back at that point (to the tune of £6 - yes, seriously) if we haven't heard, so that's kind of a neat option... .
In other news, I love numbers and lists and especially numbered lists, so I'm trying a new thing. Every morning, first thing, I'm focusing on:
3 things for which I'm grateful
2 glasses of water
1 thing I'm going to do to make someone's life happier
Bonus points for writing things down, I read somewhere that doing that made it more likely to happen.
