Luck and circumstances
Congrats on making it through Friday. I've always actually felt a bit triumphant once I get to the end of Wednesday. The hardest part of the week is half over, and you're starting that descent into the weekend. I get that I'm saying that as an unemployed person, but it's the rhythm of the rest of the world, so it's unavoidable.
This has been a relatively enjoyable week. Our evenings have been free, I've read loads, and I lined up my first job interview! I've really struggled with this whole search process, feeling like my only chance of getting in anywhere is by starting out low and moving up through luck and circumstances, as opposed to aiming high from the beginning. Setting myself up for some grade-A imposters syndrome, I'm sure.
And now we're heading into a weekend with no plans outside of dinner and a movie tomorrow night. We're finally a typical married couple!!! Going to see Vice, which comes out this weekend over here. Anyone seen it yet? Also on the to-see list: Mary, Queen of Scots and Stan & Ollie (give me anything Steve Coogan). Have I mentioned that I saw The Favourite? Good, but do NOT take your mother-in-law.
Have you discovered halloumi? I made these sandwiches this morning and oh la la. Makes going out for brunch seem like a very big waste of money, as they average about £2 per sandwich once it's all said and done.
Happy weekend.
