Bet you didn't think I'd be back so soon!
London is classique London today, cool and dreary and rainy, and I'm wearing rain boots and drinking tea.
I ended my stretch of French travel in Paris last week, so I went on a run between meetings to check out the fire damage at Notre Dame. In case you were wondering...
Also,
Then I flew straight into a weekend on the
Isle of Wight, where Jamie spent a lot of his youth sailing and the other things 12-year-old boys tend to do. There he met Charles, who married Freddie (she, her), who did the thing 30-something people in love tend to do and suddenly there was perfect little Leonora, who made Jamie a godfather!

Leo being Leo

Jamie picked this out for Leo - perfection!

Leo keeping J humble.

You know how some people say there's a moment where they know someone's "the one"? For me it was Sunday, on a detour back through the New Forest, when Jamie slowed down and suggested I "snap a pic of some wild ass". That one didn't turn out, so here's a pic of one of the horses that, along with all of the ass, runs free in the New Forest. Joke done.
My parents arrive on Thursday. Mom wants fish and chips and dad wants lots of Indian, so we'll be fulfilling all of their cliche British gastronomy fantasies (to be fair, we do eat a LOT of Indian).
